Did you know your skin is the largest organ in the body? Ever hear that you need to support your skin from the inside out? Well, water intake is the number one way to do that. Drinking at least 2 Litres of water a day is the average recommendation and when you do, your skin will thank you! Dehydration shows, and so does hydration. Drinking more water is proven to reduce fatigue and increase energy levels. I personally notice a significant difference in my energy on the days that I don’t drink enough water throughout the day; I’m sluggish and have a really hard time getting motivated. Drinking water also helps with focus which
means more productivity (and who doesn’t love a productive day?).

If you find water bland, add fruit, herbs or even veggie slices (hello cucumber!) for a refreshing, tasty way to enjoy more water. I promise, it helps!

2. Use a Marked Water Bottle

These are a total game changer, especially if you’re like me and quite literally, forget to drink water! These water bottles have time markings with motivational phrases to encourage you to drink up. They come in various sizes and quite simply, make life easier (see link below)!

3. Drink a Glass of Water after Every Bathroom Break

Scheduling your water intake is a great way to ensure you’re drinking enough water. It becomes a part of your routine and requires minimal thought over time.

4. Sip Before Every Meal + Immediately Upon Waking

Establish rules to support your water intake like drinking a cup of water before your feet hit the floor in the morning and sipping on a cup of water before every meal. Little habits are created when we embed them into our day to day routine.

5. Choose Sparking Water over Soda

We all have cravings, one of mine is a nice cold coke. Unfortunately, it’s not hydrating and full of chemicals that wreak havoc on our bodies. Opting for a nice cold sparkling water is a much better option and really satisfies the craving.
